Great news came out of the National Finals Rodeo Committee meeting in San Antonio on February 12th! Shawn Davis announced the he has hired “the best grounds man in the country” to improve ground conditions at the 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. His goal is “to make the Wrangler NFR ground the very best it can be!” He explained that they have already tested the soil and the water. He did not indicate if the ground would be new ground or if the existing ground would be modified per the results of the soil and water samples.
This announcement is the best news we could have, and the WPRA thanks Shawn Davis and the National Finals Rodeo Committee for making this commitment to ground improvement at the 2016 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
