Ground Rules: Riding Times are 5:30am-6:30am every morning.
There will be a drag after the Chuck Wagon Race, barrels
will follow. Directly after the barrel race fire works
will be displayed. All Contestants-No multi event buddy
requests will be accepted. There will be an extended
grace period for the fifty (50) contestants who are
entered and meet qualifications to change preferences
Jan. 6, 3-5pm. Draw outs will not be accepted during
the extended grace period.
A. Entry Fee is $500 per contestant.
II. Entry Selection Process
A. Each Event will consist of 50 contestants.
i. The 50 contestants will be selected from all entries
based on the following criteria:
1. 5 Entries will be selected for the 2010 NFR Standings;
Based on money won through Dec 31, 2009.
2. 45 Entries will be selected from 2009 NFR Standings.
3. If a contestant qualifies in both categories (2010
NFR Standings will be used first.
4. No medical exemptions will be accepted.
5. All contestants must be in good standing with eh
WPRA and RODEOHOUSTON.
B. RODEOHOUSTON and the WPRA will make best efforts
to ensure that all positions within each Super Series
rodeo are filled with 10 contestants per event.
C.RODEOHOUSTON will also accept alternate entries for
each event. In the event that an entered contestant
must release, prior to the first performance of the
respective Super Series, an alternate may advance to
compete within that respective Super Series.
i. Alternates will be accepted up to 30 hours prior
to the start of each Super Series, through (PROCOM).
III. Go-Round Structure
A. There will be five (5) series of preliminary (Super
Series I, II, III, IV and V) rodeos in the RODEOHOUSTON
Super Series.
i. The (10) contestants, per event will compete in each
series.
ii. Each Series will consist of three (3) consecutive
performances (go- rounds).
iii. The five (5) series of rodeos will account for
15 total performances.
iv. The overall (aggregate) winners of each series will
be determined by cumulative points in rough stock events
and least amount of time in the timed events.
v. In the event that no one rides or scores; the money
will be evenly distributed to all contestants with the
respective event. The money will not count toward RODEOHOUSTON
advancement or official WPRA winnings.
B. The top four (4) contestants from each series, based
on total money earned, for a total of 20 contestants,
will advance to the Super Series Semifinals (performances
16 and 17, 10 contestants per performance).
i. All contestants qualifying for the Semifinal Round
will draw following the third (3) round of their series
to determine which semifinal performance they will compete
in.
1. Contestants must arrive to the drawing location,
"The Fan Zone presented by Texas Farm Bureau"
(contestants autograph area), immediately following
their event.
a. If the advancing contestants do not arrive within
15 minutes, their position will de drawn for them, with
no abilities to trade.
2. Contestants will be given three minutes to trade
their semifinal performance. (Contestants may only trade
with the other contestants advancing from their respective
Super Series.)
ii. Contestants in each Semifinal will compete for prize
money according to the attached schedule.
iii. Scores do not carry over from the five preliminary
(Super Series) rodeos.
iv. Contestants will run in drawn order.
v. In the event that a qualified contestant must release
out; the following placed contestant (based upon total
money earned) will advance as the replacement.
vi. The top four (4) out of each of the two Semifinals
will advance to the RODEOHOUSTON Super Series Championship.
C. The remaining six (6) contestants from each Semifinal
that do not qualify for the RODEOHOUSTON Super Series
Championship.
i. Scores do not carry over from the five preliminary
rodeo series, or the Semifinal round.
ii. Contestants will run in drawn order
iii. The Wild Card Performances will pay out according
to the attached schedule.
iv. The top tow (2) contestants will advance to the
RODEOHOUSTON Super Series Championship (Performance
19).
D. The RODEOHOUSTON Super Series Championship will consist
of 10 total contestants per event.
i. Scores do not carry over from the five preliminary
(Super Series) rodeos.
ii. Contestants will run in drawn order.
iii. In the event that a qualified contestant must release
out; the contestant will be replace by the following
placed contestant, from the respective Semifinal or
Wild Card performance that the original contestant advanced
from.
iv. The top four (4) contestants will return fro a Championship
Shootout run in reverse order, where the top scoring
performer in prior round goes last, the second best
scoring performer goes next to last, etc.
IV. Tie-Breaking Method
A. Super Series Advancement to the Semifinal Tie Breaking
Procedures:
Any ties which exist for advancement from the Super
Series to the Semifinal Round will be broken with the
procedures and in the order as follows;
1. Determine the best aggregate score or time for an
individual from all previous go-rounds; if still a tie,
2. Determine the winner from each go-round (in the event,
that a tied contestant was first place winner, they
will advance): if still a tire,
3. Determine best single score or time for an individual
from all previous go- rounds; if still a tie,
4. The tie will be broken based on the previous year
WPRA NFR Standings.
B. Semifinal Advancement to the Championship Round Tie
Breaking Procedures:
Any ties which exist for advancement from the Semifinal
round to the Championship round will be broken with
the procedures and in the order as follows.
1. Determine the total money earner, from all previous
go-rounds; if still a tie,
2. Determine the overall best aggregate placing for
an individual from their respective Super Series; if
still a tie,
3. Determine the winner from each go-round (in the event
that a tied contestant was a first place winner, they
will advance); if still a tie,
4. Determine best single score or time for an individual
from the Super Series; if still a tie,
5. The tie will be broken based on previous year WPRA
NFR Standings
C. Championship Round Advancement to the Championship
Shootout Tie Breaking Procedures:
Any ties which exist for advancement from the Championship
Round to the Championship Shootout round will be broken
with the procedures and in the order as follows:
1. Determine the overall best placement for an individual,
from their respective Semifinal; if still a tie
2. Determine the total money earned, from all previous
go-rounds; if still a tie,
3. The tie will be broken based on the previous year
WPRA NFR Standings.
D. Championship Shootout Tie Breaking Methods:
Any ties which exist for first place in the Championship
Shootout round will be broken with the following procedures;
1. The contestants will compete again, on one additional
head, to determine the champion (Super Series Champion);
if still a tie,
2. Co-RODEOHOUSTON Super Series Champions will be named.
3. Ties for second or third place will be treated and
reported as ties.
4. Official tied place payout(s) will be combined and
split evenly between the tied contestants.
V. Payout
A. Every contestant will a check agrees to be available
for a check presentation, media interview, and a minimum
one-hour autograph signing session, immediately following
her event.
B. Each contestant must complete a W-9 and give it to
the Secretary prior to her first competition, even though
the contestant may have a W-9 on file with the WPRA.
HLSR will not authorize payment of prize money to any
contestant who does not have a valid W-9 on file with
HLSR.
E. Timed Events
A. Stalls are available at an off-site location (288
Reed Road property) and will be assigned to contestants
at arrival on a first-come, first-served basis.
B. Contestants are prohibited from riding, leading,
tying or stalling horse anywhere on the designated landscaped
or lawn areas. Violations will result in a fine or $100
per occurrence by RODEOHOUSTON.
C. Contestants will animals must check in at the 288-Reed
Road property and present the following to be admitted
entrance. Current coggins and health papers.
D. Contestants must abide by RODEOHOUSTON rules and
regulations for entry and exit with animals. Individuals
who violate animal entry policies will be subject to
immediate ejection from the premises.
F. General
A. Contestants must wear back numbers which are visible
at all times upon entrance to, and when in, the arena,
whether competing or not.
B. Contestants must enter facilities via Gate 11 off
of Kirby.
C. Contestants must be photographed by RODEOHOUSTON
photographer and videographer at the time of entry check-in.
There photos will be used for big- screen presentation,
television and Web Site.
D. Any contestant that enters RODEOHOUSTON and turns
out will not be allowed to compete the following year.
E. RODEOHOUSTON Contestants agree to sing autographs
in the "Fan Zone resented by Texas Farm Bureau"
immediately following their event, for a minimum of
25 minutes.
F. Contestants will be paid $100 per performance (in
which they've competed only.) In the event that a contestant
does not advance from the Super Series to a Semifinal
round, and they've signed autographs all three performances
of their Super Series, they will be give a $200 bonus
following the third performance autograph signing. Championship
round contestants will be requited to sign autographs
(without an appearance fee.)
G. Contestants agree to attend an on-site meeting at
5:30pm for weekday performances or 2:30pm for weekend
performances, in the Rodeo Contestant Hospitality Room,
prior to the first performance of their super series.

Procom will enforce a No Conflict
rule for all contestants entered in Rodeo Austin and
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. HLSR contestants will
not be scheduled to compete at Rodeo Austin during the
HLSR super series play offs, wild card and finals.
There will be an extended grace period for the
contestants who are entered and meet qualifications
to change preferences Feb 17, 3-5pm.
A release or notified TO, or VI can be replaced
by an alternate from a list of contestants that were
drawn out due to qualification. The release, notified
TO or VI must be made through procom at least 30 hours
prior to the performance. Notifications made after the
30 hours deadline will not be replaced. Replacements
will only apply to first go-round positions.
Exemptions from Qualifications- Contestants must
notify Procom at the time of entry if they are claiming
an exemption from qualifications.
Contestants who are added as alternates due to
the 30 hour replacement ground rule at either
Houston or Austin, and are conflicted will not be moved
at Austin. They must either accept or decline the available
position. There will be no moves at Austin due to qualifying
for the Semifinals, Wildcard and Finals at Houston after
the original placement.
All contestants must sign a release of liability
with the secretary before competing.
All contestants with horses must have proof of
current, negative 12 month coggins test, health papers,

Contestants appearance must be neat, clean
and professional. Any contestant whose appearance is
deemed unprofessional will be fined at the discretion
of the Board of Directors. The fine will be up to $100.
Any contestant using foul language in the Arena,
either audibly or by obviously mouthing words, will
be fined.
Each contestant will be furnished with a Rodeo
Austin back number, which must be worn or displayed
in its entirety at all, times when in the competition
arena.
The fastest contestant in each performance will
be asked to participate in a 30 minute autograph session
following each performance.
The top contestant(s) in each event must be present
for the awards presentation at the conclusion of her
event during the finals performance. The event winner(s)
must then take a victory lap.
Any contestant that turns out of Rodeo Austin
will not be allowed to compete the following year.

50%, 30%, 20%. From each go, there will be 8 from
1stDivision, 4 from 2nd Division and 2 from 3rd
Division. These horses will advanceto the Finals,
plus, after both goes, two WILD CARDS will be
drawn. Amateurs only in the 3rd Division. Finals
from 1-25 will be paid on a progressive pay scale.
26-30will receive $500 each. The Finals will be
a clean slate, straight-up barrel race. Futurity
late fee is $150. AMATEUR $5,000 PAYOUT will be
paid out on a two run average from both qualifying
goes: 1st Place - $1,500 2nd Place - $1,250 3rd
Place - $1,000 4th Place - $750 5th Place - $500.
4-D - 1/2 sec., 1 sec., 2 sec. Youth 3-D - 1 second
splits (18 & under). All In Slot Race based
on a two-run average in conjunction with Futurity.
