A limited number of stalls are available on a first-come,
first-served basis. Contestants must check in and complete
stall form with Stall Manager before stalling horses. Contestants
with animals must check in at the entrance to the Fairgrounds
and present the following to be admitted entrance: Texas
Animal Health Commission: The following guidelines are established
in compliance with the Texas Animal Health Commission Regulations
governing admission of livestock into fairs and exhibitions
and additional rules posted by Rodeo Austin to ensure the
health and well-being of animals exhibited at the Show.
Equine may enter Texas for shows, fairs, exhibitions, or
assembly purposes when accompanied by a valid interstate
passport or equine go pass or equine identification card
and a completed VS Form 10-11 showing negative results to
an official EIA test within the previous six (6) months
or a certificate of veterinary inspection and a completed
VS Form 10-11 showing negative results to an official EIA
test within the past 12 months. The veterinary certificate
of inspection will be accepted as valid for 45 days for
equine and 30 days for all other species. Equine originating
in a tick quarantined area must be accompanied by a certificate
issued by an authorized representative Texas Animal Health
Commission certifying the equine are free from infestation
and exposure to fever ticks and have been dipped or treated
under supervision in an approved dipping solution or treatment
immediately prior to shipping. Contestants must abide by
Rodeo Austin regulations for entry and exit with animals.
Individuals who violate animal entry policies will be subject
to immediate ejection from the premises. There will be no
preparation, re-work or raking during the competition. All
other rules will be enforced per the PRCA/WPRA rulebook
Judges scores/times are official. Each contestant must complete
and sign a Rodeo Austin Release of Liability and Indemnity
Agreement and present it to the Rodeo Secretary prior to
her first competition. Each contestant will be furnished
with a Rodeo Austin back number, which must be worn or displayed
in its entirety at all times when in the Competition Arena.
If a contestant has an existing patch sponsorship involving
the cantle/yoke of the shirt, then the contestant may wear
the Rodeo Austin back number immediately below the existing
cantle/yoke patch. In accordance with PRCA Bylaws (B15.1.9),
this is to notify that Rodeo Austin will only admit contestants
who are entered in the competition to all facilities at
no charge. PRCA/WPRA members who are not entered will not
be given free admission, nor may they enter any area restricted only to contestants without proper Rodeo Austin credentials.
No family members (including children), guests, escorts,
etc. will be allowed in chute or Arena areas. Only actual
contestant and one companion allowed gate access. WPRA members
who are not entered will not be given free admission. No
dogs will be allowed on the grounds. Contestants must enter
facilities via Gate 2 off of Decker Lane. Parking is available
on a first come, first-served basis in Lot C and/or D. Contestants
agree to be available to Rodeo Austin staff for media interviews
during the days/evenings that they are participating in
a performance. The highest scoring contestant in each event,
of each performance, are asked to participate in a minimum
one-hour signing autograph session following each performance.
The top contestants in each event must be present for the
awards presentation at the conclusion of her event during
the Finals performance. The event winner(s) must then take
a victory lap.
