2025 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping to Take Place in Fort Worth, Tickets Now on Sale

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association announced on Nov. 26, the 2025 Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka will take place Dec. 22-23, at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Tickets for this event went on sale on December 3.

The NFBR originally scheduled to take place Dec. 2-3, at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas was forced to relocate out of an abundance of caution by the South Point due to the equine herpes outbreak.

The event will showcase the top 15 breakaway ropers competing over 10 rounds — 5 rounds each day starting at 7 p.m. — with all competitors running in every round.

This marks the first time the NFBR will take place in Texas since the inaugural event at Globe Life Field in Arlington in 2020.

The PRCA, WPRA and Cowtown Coliseum are continuing to monitor the EHV/EHM outbreak and are taking measures designed to protect the wellbeing of all participating horses, while upholding the highest standards of biosecurity and animal care to be able to safely host the event. Per Cowtown Coliseum if the EHV/EHM outbreak is not contained according to state and local animal welfare, then the event will not be held.
