The Queen Reigned Supreme at the Daddy

No one has won more money in the history of the WPRA than Lisa Lockhart of Oelrichs, S.D., and she added over $17,300 to her earnings after winning the Daddy of ‘em All in Cheyenne in 2025.

Lockhart had not made the victory lap on Finals Sunday in 10 years but thanks to two different buckskins in her career she has now tasted victory in Cheyenne twice. In 2015, riding her famous buckskin Louie, she captured her first title and in 2025 she jockeyed Rosa’s Cantina around the cloverleaf pattern stopping the clock in 17.03 to earn her second title.

“My buckskin duo…my dream team is what I called Louie and Rosa when I was hauling them and people couldn’t tell them apart,” said Lockhart, who became the first woman to win CFD titles ten years apart. “The win was pretty surreal, and it just means a lot. The wins are so hard to come by this day and age so anytime you get a win, let alone a prestigious one like Cheyenne that is so authentic, it is pretty cool.

“I commend Rosa for everything she did and how well she worked from start to finish. I know her owner Alan Woodbury was super excited. I was also glad my husband, Grady, decided to go back down for the finals with me.”

For Lockhart, who has been to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo 18 consecutive years, a return trip this year would tie her with the greats – Charmayne James and Sherry Cervi – having qualified for 19 total. Sitting on the bubble at No. 14 prior to Cheyenne, the win at the Daddy might just solidify her for that 19 trip to Las Vegas in December.

“It turns things around,” stated Lockhart, who moved from 14th in the standings to ninth with $103,250. “I have been doing things a little different this year…not going as much and being closer to home to ride the young ones. As it stands now, it is a bit of a reality check as now we have to go to try and finish the year strong. A good problem to have.”

A former qualifier for the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping Danielle Lowman has been eerily quite in 2025 but she made her presence known at the Daddy of ‘em All. Lowman of Gilbert, Arizona, became the first woman from the Navajo Nation to win a CFD title. The talented breakaway roper who has competed three times at the National Finals Breakaway Roping made a 4.3-second run on her new horse Gucci to win the championship and $19,288. She was the biggest money winner of the rodeo.

Prior to Cheyenne, Lowman was ranked No. 42 but with the success in Cheyenne she is now ranked 27th – just $20,278 out of the top 15 for 2025.
