COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The PRCA and WPRA are proud to announce the contract personnel selected for the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Dec. 2-3. The selections are below:
This is Gwatney’s sixth time as the chute boss and this is the second time Yerigan will serve as an announcer, and it is the debut for Simas. This is Sanders’ second time working at the NFBR. This is the second appearance for Gillespie, and it is Sutton’s first. Cory Kidd is serving in his role for the third time at the NFBR. This also is Kimm’s first time as the music director. The Top 15 WPRA breakaway ropers as of Sept. 30, will compete for a share of $300,000, during the two-day, 10-round performance with the 2025 world champion being crowned at the conclusion. “Women’s breakaway roping is not only the fastest event in professional rodeo, but new records continue to be set each year with more money available for our members,” said Heidi Schmidt, WPRA President. “We are excited to once again feature the 15 best ropers in the world at the South Point in December where more milestones will be reached. The competition will be fierce and will be one you won’t want to miss.” Tickets go on sale for this championship event on Friday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. (PT). General admission tickets are $30 each day, with reserve admission tickets available for $45 per day. Tickets can be purchased online at https://am.ticketmaster.com/southpoint/buy?id=Mjcz, or southpointarena.com or at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa box office. Tickets are electronic unless purchased at the box office. The event will begin daily at 2 p.m. (PST) with doors opening at 1 p.m. daily. Parking at the South Point Hotel and Casino is FREE. The South Point Arena & Equestrian Center has been the host of the NFBR since 2022. “I’m happy to see the success and growth of breakaway roping since the inaugural National Finals Breakaway Roping in 2020,” PRCA CEO Tom Glause said. “It is amazing that the breakaway ropers have an opportunity to compete for $300,000 at the NFBR.” |
